There is a light that never goes out

This week, at my office, it feels as though a light has gone out and I can't turn it back on. So I thought I'd be emo and paste song lyrics about it.

There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out

And the world’s got me dizzy again
You think after 22 years I’d be used to the spin
And it only feels worse when I stay in one place
So I’m always pacing around or walking away
I keep drinking the ink from my pen
And I’m balancing history books up on my head
But it all boils down to one quotable phrase
If you love something, give it away

In conclusion (even though I didn't just quote him) it's funny how - just like the few great friends you make in a lifetime - Elliott Smith is always there for you even if he's not around.

If it weren't for you, I'd never know what was going on in the music scene. How is it? Should I go straight out and buy it?

yes..."if a ten ton truck should kill the both of us...to die by your side, the pleasure the privilege is mine." One of the more psychotic love lyrics ever to be muttered from a man with too much gel in his hairs mouth. Nah, I do like me some Smiths...as long as I remind myself that life is worth living.

Ya know, I've always felt like if a song didn't incite my urge to be depressed or my urge to kill, it wasn't worth hearing. (I'm overexaggerating for effect)

Sometimes I just want to dance. (said out loud in an exaggerated snivley tone)
