but it's still a little funny.
today two boys got into an all-out brawl. it was a little nerve-wracking, but i regained my composure easily. they started fighting when i was filling out a letter to one of the boys' parents. i got up and tried to run towards them, but then thought better of it and ran to get their teacher (we switch classes and i had my neighbor's class). she walked in and the fight broke up. i wish kids got scared at the sight of me. i'm just not that scary. what's interesting is that ghetto kids don't know how to fight any better than any other kids. you would think they do since they are made out to fight so much, but all they do is start throwing wild, uncontrolled slaps and punches.
dumb boys...
i sent home 4 notes today, sent two kids to the principal's office, called one parent and had a parent-teacher conference.
and then i had one class that behaved like angels.

We had a teacher in school who would throw stuff at you. Erasers, chalk, books, desks, you name it. Of course he got fired for having 'relations' with students/teachers, but it still worked. Otherwise tempt them with crack. Or not.

i probably won't throw stuff. this year, i'm in survival mode. if i make it through this year without getting fired, i'm satisfied. if i make it through this year and learn how to be a good teacher, i'm happy.
