it's funny when kids puke

today i only sent one note home. oh no, i take it back...i ripped up the note because i sent the boy to the principal for fighting. then later, i was teaching the next class, and i was checking the kids' progress on their worksheet and a little boy started blubbering "m-m-mrs. h-h-hers-s-s-s-ey?." i looked at him and he had tears running down his face and i asked him what the problem was. he said his stomach hurt and he thought he was going to puke, so i told him to go stand by the trash can while i wrote him a pass. as soon as i got it to him, he vomited spectacularly into the can. i told him to take it outside and continue, so he did. i've never seen a kid puke that much. i didn't know it was possible. it was really funny since it wasn't all over my floor.
hehe.
then another kid puked later. but he did it after i sent him to the nurse.
suckers and their stomach viruses...
i feel bad for them. they were both kids that i like, as of right now.
ah well, it's still funny.

Projectile vomit from a ticking timebomb of a toddling tyrant? Okay, so the kids are older than toddlers and probably never will be tyrants outside of their own homes but at least the alliteration was halfway interesting.

I've recently discovered your blog and find it quite interesting. It's odd to see kids through the eyes of teachers. Most kids see themselves as perfect, and most parents choose to overlook their own kids' problems in order to focus on their own. Oh well, if the world were perfect there would be no room for innovators and educators.

I look forward to reading more of your posts and contributing my thoughts as well. ;-P
