today i was at work, and like every day that i'm at work, i didn't want to be there. so, towards the end of the day the store was dead, and i was on the verge of making a break for it when my boss (the one i can't stand) decided that i didn't look busy enough. so she asks me in a really condescending tone to do some stupid, useless, menial busy work crap. i oblige, as i always do, and as i'm nearing the end of this project, the store suddenly becomes really busy. this customer comes up to me and asks me to unlock the studded dog collars. i don't have a key, so i ask my boss for one. she doesn't have it and says that it's locked up in the front office, and then runs off to attend to some other crap that's hitting the fan. so i call for another manager to come unlock the room and no one comes. i call a third manager, and the bad boss comes running up frantically saying "jeez, christina, have some patience, i'm coming as fast as i can". i say "i'm sorry, i didn't know you were the only manager here" (which should have been self evident, as i paged the two other managers by name). so she takes time out of her crap to get me the key, and i go help the customer. of course, after i'm done, i need to return the key to her. but, where can i find her? luckily, at that moment, a cashier paged her to come to the registers. so i go to the register to which she had been summoned, knowing she'll go there. she doesn't. i look around and she is in the middle of fixing the computer in the grooming salon, which apparently broke in the middle of retail fury hour. so the cashier runs in there for what he needed, and i run in there to return the friggin key so i can go home. she's got all kinds of stress going on and finally she takes the key from me. i leave, clock out, and go home, smirking the whole way. why is this all funny, you may ask. and i might answer "because if the horrible cow had not bothered me about some petty crap twenty minutes prior, i would have left early and not had to deal with customers, collars or keys. she would then have not been bothered by me for three seperate stupid things and her stress level would have been that much lower. haha, sucker.
if any of you ever find yourself in the position of management over any other human beings, remember this: if you treat people with respect, people will treat you respectfully. or, the respect you get is the respect you give.

yeah, and while you're at it, my dog just tinkled on the floor, but i'm too prissy to clean it up. if you could just get that for me, yeah, that'd be great, k thanks,
Hey used to know the feeling! Then a better job came along, just remember the more use you are to them the more they expect out of you, and unfortunately this wont correlate to your pay! Remember you can always quit! It will be a big relief when you quit, especially if they realize that maybe they should have tried harder to keep you!
