la famiglia

Last weekend I went to Sacramento to visit my sister, her kids, and my mom. I had a really good time. It's been almost a year since I last saw my mom.

Then this morning, Nathan had to leave for Sacramento, and he went and had dinner with them. I'm a little miffed that my bashful nephew, Alex, likes Nathan more than he likes me. Apparently, when it was time for Uncle Nathan to leave, a tantrum ensued. Of course, he screamed when I left too, but that was because his dad was leaving...he could care less about me!

Anyway, I love those kids. They're all so sweet, and smart, and comparably good. Well, as good as you could expect three boys born within two years' time to be. But seriously, they are really well-behaved kids, comparatively. It makes me hopeful that my own kids might not be little rat monsters. Mom said we were all pretty good kids, and Nathan says he was apparently a very well-behaved baby as well. I don't believe it for a second, but that's what we've been told. And on the "what our kids might be like" note, my sister decided to send me two whole boxes of baby stuff that she doesn't need for when it's my turn. Just to put you all at ease, that won't be for a good long while if we have anything to say about it.
