Gainful Employment

Today, in the midst of the massive stress that was bearing down on me as a result of learning my new responsibilities, I got an email from the big boss saying that I have been officially given a raise, and that I am now a salaried employee. I am so proud of myself! I am now making as much as I would if I were teaching (if I were only a first year teacher, and not the fifth year teacher I should be by now). I'm so happy! I am what I would consider to be one step further away from ever having to go back to that crappy job again!

So, in the spirit of things, here's a list of things I love about my job:
-My bosses are great. They are certainly serious about business, but they're both funny, smart, laid-back, friendly, and respectful. I love them. No matter how rich they are. They even take us out to lunch sometimes (and don't skimp on it), and give us gift cards to Whorebucks at random.
-My hours are great. Because I get to pick my hours.
-Even though I'm salaried, my bosses are coming up with a rewards system for us when we work overtime, or extra, or somehow exceed our responsibilities.
-I love my co-workers. This probably should have been number one on the list; because my co-workers are awesome, and smart and funny.
-I get to write all day, and get paid for it. And I'm learning new skills which will probably be useful throughout my life.
-We're getting health insurance eventually
-My company is about to launch a major PR campaign, which will hopefully result in massive growth, which means likely opportunities to move up in the company. I don't want to read too much into it, but once my boss mentioned that it was possible for me to move up to management if we expand in a huge way. And that schooling would be required, which means I could go back to school to better myself! Sure, I hate studying, but I'm the least educated of my siblings, so I'd welcome more ejamacashun.
