street dogs and brain failure

nathan and i went to see the street dogs and brain failure (check out the diary section on that link, it's awesome) last night at the hawthorne theater. we had a blast. brain failure put on a great show as always. afterwards, they were in the audience and their new bassist was chatting with me and nathan a bunch. he was cool.
the street dogs put on a great show. better than the last two times i saw them. this time, i liked them enough to buy a record, but i don't think it had a couple of the songs i really wanted on it. i haven't listened yet. last time i saw them, i complained that they didn't play a couple of songs i wanted to hear. well, they still didn't play justifiable fisticuffs, but they did play career opportunities by the clash, and borstal breakout by sham 69, so that makes up for it. i'll never get to hear the clash play, so i don't complain when other bands want to cover them.

tonight i think i'll take nathan out to see the new harry potter movie. i know it makes me a huge dork, but i'm not ashamed. i love the harry potter books. i don't need to defend that to you guys either.
