i have a lot to learn about photography

my pictures didn't come out as beautiful as the day was. i spoke to the guy in the photoshop and now i know what i did wrong. but i still got some good ones. also on the roll were a couple of shots i took last spring in north carolina at a national park.

yeah, i love that one too. i didn't want to take a picture of the kid, because i didn't want to get his dad all anxious, but on my last shot left, the family got up to leave, and he peeked out the window and i took the shot really quick. since i don't have his face showing, i figured no one would care.

A lot of the Pro's use filters to make the picture stand out more, although I am more for realistic shots most of the stuff out there is shot with filters. What is your take on filters?

i like them because they help the picture turn out the way the world looks. now, if you're just trying to make the world look better than it is, or wierder, then that would fall under photography that takes more creative liberties, like photoshop enhanced pictures. but in some of the shots i took the other day, the sky came out too dark, or the buildings came out too dark, and if i had the right filter, everything would have had the correct amount of lighting.
