tonight i decided to try to eat sushi at someplace other than katana. it did not work out well for me, and now i miss kelly and leo more than before.
i like to get one specific roll every time, but since it isn't a well known roll, most chefs have to be told how to make it. no one has ever gotten it right. i tried this place tonight. the chef wanted to get it right, so he had the girl translate for him. first, i told him, very clearly: "half shrimp, half cream cheese". he didn't understand, so he called the girl over and i told her, and she translated. then he looked at me and asked "no avocado?" and i said "no avocado". then he passed the directions on through two other guys and i got a roll with chopped shrimp (it's supposed to be whole and it changed the texture if you chop it), avocado, and cream cheese. how can it be so difficult to make something so simple? i'd make it myself if i hadn't been told that sushi theory isn't as easy as it seems. still, if one already knows how to make sushi, then one should be able to make a half cream cheese, half shrimp roll.
bastard crap.
the philly roll and red snapper roll were ok.
and there was no kelly and no leo.

No Avocado? Your on the wrong coast for that kind of stuff!!!! Just kidding! I know what you mean, I think I am one of the pickiest eaters I have known.
hehe. i love avocado, but it has it's time and place. places it doesn't belong are on burgers, and in my oki roll.
The chef messed it up because you always explain it AFU. Tell him peeled shrimp, cream cheese, green onion and crispies on the outside. If I only beat you more it would be alright.
Nate,
Now that you are out of the US Navy, you are hereby unauthorized to use abbreviations such as 'AFU'. Violation of such diggit-ry could result in (but not limited to) volunteer time at your local recruiter's office, involuntary assignment as an active reservist, or reenlistment.
Thanks.

i was wondering what afu was. thanks biff, i never would have figured it out, seeing as how i'm attempting a vow of silence, which would be broken by asking questions. (typing doesn't count as talking, which only gets you in trouble).
Nate and Christina, I'm probably going to be up your way Sunday night....want to try and meet up? I'm a dumbass and can't find your email address, so shoot me an email at sedogar (at) gmail (dot) com.

Looking forward to seeing you Sean, hope you can make it in time for the show.
As to my ultra diggetyness, it will never happen again and all I can do is beg your forgiveness.
