the journey is finally over, and it feels good to be settled.
when we left phoenix, we went to l.a. and spent the evening with my brother. we went to the lotus festival with him and jorge. then we went to see my sister in sacramento. i finally got to meet the twins. they're the most adorable kids. i'll be happy to finally get to see them regularly.
we got here two nights ago, and got our apartment yesterday. it's completely unfurnished, but our stuff comes tomorrow. we will still need to buy a tv, a place to put the tv, and a sofa. we could go without a tv, but then we wouldn't be able to rent movies or play video games and that would suck. we're not getting cable though. the apartment is right on the MAX line, which is great, because i won't have to use my car anymore for much of anything. the only problem is that i haven't gotten to use it yet, because the uncapitalized max is giving us a really hard time. he barks whenever we leave, so we've been taking him with us everywhere. hopefully he'll quit once our stuff comes, or once he gets settled in, but i can't have him barking in an apartment. we'll get in trouble.
today we went to the oregon coast and it was beautiful. no pictures, though. i'll be living here long enough to take plenty in the future, but today the camera still wasn't charged.

everybody, my email is now up and running again (at least it was the last time i checked).
ok, i tried my email again, and it's not working again. i will have to set up a new acct, which i was trying to avoid doing. not tonight though. the one i want to use is taken on yahoo, which put me off the process entirely.
