no title, just update.

not a lot is going on here. my mom and her friend kim came down to visit me on saturday and left last night. it was my anniversary and nathan and i didn't really do anything special, except fill our weekly quota of ice cream at the best ice cream place in the world, the old dutch. we stopped by afterwards to see his ex-aunt, who i like more than all his relatives. dee is awesome.
today we're going back up to dauphin island to spend some time with the family and watch the fireworks. nathan doesn't seem too excited about that, but i love fireworks, and i'm sure the island is a better place to catch them than mobile is. i hope max doesn't freak out. i usually leave him at home while i go watch the fireworks, but this time, i think he'll have to come with me. he's become such a crazy dog since we've been here. he hates it here and has been tearing stuff up like he did when he was a puppy, which sucks more than usual, because he's not welcome here in the first place. now not only do i have to beg to be accepted with my dog, but i have to beg for forgiveness for the damage he does. i can't wait to get back on the road. once we have another place of our own, i hope he'll calm back down. his problem is that he's not allowed in the house proper, so he has horrible seperation anxiety because i'm up there all the time, and he can't get any exercise because there's no safe fenced area for him, and it's so hot when we go on walks anyways that he doesn't want to really have any fun anyways. and he's not really eating, because he doesn't eat unless i'm hanging around somewhere in the vicinity of the food bowl and he feels like we're going to be around it for a while. so he's losing weight. i feel bad for him, but until we leave, i can't do anything about it. we had to buy a new crate for him because he couldn't be left alone without doing damage to nathan's grandma's house. it's back to puppy behavior. i hope he comes out of this ok.
