day 52

today, january 5 is day 52 of this illness. those of you who see me every day may think i'm bluffing here, because i can go through a few hours at a time without seeming seriously ill, but note the time of this post. it is 2:41 AM. i am awake and coughing my lungs out. i have no idea how i'm going to make it to work (not tomorrow, but in a few hours). i don't do well on no sleep, but yesterday i used up my 7th sick day out of 10. it's very depressing to be sick for so long. and i'm not usually a depressed person. i haven't felt chronically in the dumps since i left high school, but now i do again. i feel weak, i have dark circles under my eyes, and i cough almost all day long. oh, and i'm lethargic. i can't motivate myself to do anything. beth thinks i might be pregnant. i'll take a test, but i seriously doubt that's what's wrong with me.
i don't remember what it feels like to not wheeze.
i think all my future posts will be titled after the day of my sickness.

Speaking of counting, how many days of "Sickeness" does Nathan have left? He should be out soon! They gotta have something to cure you, have they given you immune system boosters? I was actually up that late too, but by choice not due to some disease. I have heard Echinacea is good for that kind of stuff! Nathan could get you some at a local GNC or maybe even a drug store, it might have ehcinacea and golden seal combined. It should not be that expensive. Unless of course if you are pregnant, than that I cant help you with there.

thanks jorge! i usually only take echinacea before i get sick. i heard once that it's really only a preventative.
i think nathan's got about 145 days left. these old diggity tods today in the beer-makers store told him that if he had made first class in his first enlistment that he should stick with it. neither of us wants that in the least, though. i could stand having a husband in the service for 6 years. i don't know how i would handle any more.
did you know that the boys are on 3 section duty right now?
