spending money

yesterday i bought an ipod. i'm really excited about it, as i've been wanting one for a very long time. as i type, i'm filling it with music.
i also went to go see the violent femmes. it was not what i expected. for one thing, there were far to few punks there for me to feel comfortable. for another thing, i thought i knew more of their songs than i did. also, i was way too tired to be there.
one thing i didn't like, that i usually like, was that the audience participated way too much. they were so loud you couldn't hear the band. i might as well have gone to a violent femmes sing-along without the band present. honestly. you couldn't hear the band for the audience.
but at least i did get to hear all the songs i wanted to. and there were a number of moshing punks. even though i was in the balcony and i wasn't one of them, they're still fun to watch. i saw them try to beat this hippie. it was funny.
nathan has duty today, and i have a ton of grading to do, on top of going in to work. if anyone wants to hang out and procrastinate today, let me know.
