sorry to be gone so long

we just got the computer fixed. it died on friday and nathan just got done fixing it. (to his credit, he didn't start till sunday afternoon, and he didn't work at it yesterday).
it turns out that the fan for the power supply had died, causing the power supply to blow up. well, we were going to just replace fan and supply, but we found out that the power supply for my vaio is a special size, that they don't make anymore, and can be bought for 400 dollars. regular ones that you buy from compusa won't fit in the vaio case. in other words, sony sucks. no, just vaios. i usually have no problem with sonys. now, missy never had a problem with her vaios, but i don't think any of them ever ran on windows me. i don't know why i ever bought this computer. i knew i should get a mac, but for some reason i didn't. anyway, nathan got a new case for the computer and put all the old stuff into it, and a new power supply. it's no longer pretty in the least, like the vaio was, but pretty sucks. in order to be pretty, something important has to be missing, apparently.
but now i'm back and just as discontented as ever.
we're probably going to try to get jobs in portland next year. san diego and la are too expensive, as is all of california. seattle is a maybe. denver has 1/2 of the year with days below 32F. austin is cheap, but no public transportation. our house in mobile is rented out for two years.
we went to the bad religion show last night. we again bought the cd's of the opening bands, but not because they were that great (well, rise against was) but because nathan has a new concert-going philosophy that involved buying the opening bands' cds. it was a good show. i had a great time. i accidentally ended up in the pit when bad religion came on, and thought i would never make it out, but people here are nice and when you fall down, they pick you up. not that i fell...i kind of used the guy in front of me to break my fall, and then he power-pushed me back up and i got out. i don't think i'm going to stand in the balcony anymore. the balcony sucks. and i do think i'm going to go back to wearing earplugs at shows. i want to be able to hear my grandkids' backtalk so i can beat them properly.
i guess that brings us up to date...
i think everyone should work on convincing chance to not move to crap-town, CO. it is probably pretty and likely a useless suburban town. missy should always get to live near me. she'd probably like portland. if we go there, i fully expect all my friends to come live there.
christina, it'll be cheaper than boston with better weather.
biff, jorge and sean, you guys and nathan can fix bikes together. and start another band.
i'm sure anyone else who reads this blog can think of a good reason to go there too. if you can't, let me know and i'll figure it out.

Portland is ok I guess, if you are a tree hugging hippie. Actually, try Eugene, you got U of O there and it's a pretty nice town from what I've seen of it. My bro and his wife live there. You can smoke the weed and Max will have a good time cause they got lots o' dogs. Because everyone knows weed smokers have dogs. If you want to get into U of O you can talk to me and my bro can hook you up because they both work there as er, actually, I don't know if they work there anymore but they know people there because they both just got Masters there. Anyways, yeah, uh.....yeah.

Goof

P.S. I am not drunk as I write this.

Don't move to Oregon, it rains every day and there are no jobs. I see people from California moving back to California every day. It is so depressing here that people commit suicide twice a day.

P.S. please tell all your friends this same bullshit...errr...ummm...yeah, tell them it is horrible here. Tell them how beautiful it is in California.

well, we do have the bus - it's not terrible - it'll get you to where you're going.

and pending on how this local election goes, light rail should be here soon.

are you and nathan going to come through here?

you guys should at least scope out the place you're going to move.

dude, the senator of colorado is Ben 'nighthorse' campbell. thats right. my state supports the redman. what does yours do?

bah, I don't want you out of staters to come to colorado anyway. you talk funny don't respect nature and don't support you local breweries (of wich colorado has more than any state.)

Go worship dirt in crap damn Oregon, stay away from my 27 peaks above 14 thousand feet. And my denver broncos.

Besides if you move to colorado and you don't want to get fired you need a vehicle thats atleast 4 wheel drive. And you guys aren't down with that. so stay away.

go, run. flee to fagsville.
I command it.

a? a non? a non hop a mouse?

i don't think i know anyone named hugo.
biff, nathan says yes, we are still planning on coming through austin, eventually. and it would be cool if austin got light rail. then, it would move way up on the list. we've been to portland once, it wasn't quite enough of a visit for me, but we did like the city. i guess it'll all come down to where nathan gets the best job. they need teachers everywhere. and they pay them pretty much the same everywhere but the northern east coast.

First of all congrats on your choice, i think Portland would be nice. If I had a choice I would be somewhere in the Northwest too!!! And if Nathan does not get a job buy him an Apron and make him clean the dishes!!!
