i had an absolutely lovely time in boston the past few days. we walked around the town, went to this candy store called sugar heaven, went to a cool record store, and went to this park. i got to see where christina went to college and where she works and lives now. we rented movies and ate ice cream and pancakes and indian food (not all at once). we reminisced and helped each other sort through what we're both going through now. it was amazing how seamlessly our conversations continued in person. it was as if we never left each other. it was also incredible to be in a place that wasn't as ugly as hampton roads, virginia. plus, they have public transportation, which makes almost any place a-okay by me. anyway, the whole trip was fantastic.
the travel however was another story. in fact, it brought to mind a pavement song where he says
"man, is breeding forever/because of the weather/i/hope/soon/to/leave/from/THE EAST!"
every plane i was on was delayed due to this huge storm that stretched from south carolina to maine (skipping boston, we had lovely weather) almost all weekend. i spent hours spacing out or watching the seconds go by on my watch. i can't wait to get off the freaking east coast. the east coast is fired.
