Long disjointed update

A lot has gone on in the last few weeks, and having just come from a long day of business writing, I figure a bulleted list is the best way to go:

(Unfortunately, I have no bullets, so hyphens will have to do)

-Last Monday, I got a fun little flashing strobe light effect in my right eye. This came out of nowhere, and I pretended it wasn't happening for a few days. On Saturday, I had Nathan cart me and my strobe light to the eye doctor who referred me to a specialist. I skipped work yesterday to go to the specialist, who says I have fluid attached to my retina. It may be a result of the car accident I had in January. It will probably clear itself up on its own in six weeks or so. I have to live with it until it goes away. The doctor had to use extra strength dilation drops to view into my eye properly and over twenty-four hours later I still look like a vampire.

-Jorge and Senia came to visit us this weekend and on Sunday, Flint, Stephanie, and Dylan came down as well. We had a right nice time. Nathan cooked (works out well for both me and my two friends, Right Cheek and Left Cheek). I made dessert...Greek custard pie (Galaktoboureko). On Friday night, Nathan, Jorge, Senia, and I walked all over Portland taking pictures. Nathan got some good shots which he may or may not post later.

-Last night, (eyes dilated and all) Nathan and I went to the Dropkick Murphys show, and we had a blast. Nothing horrible happened, except for two beer showers and too much weed in the air (what else is new in Portland). The show was great, and I jumped up and down a lot. I got to see Ken Casey up close twice before the show, as he walked past us. He's my favorite murphy. The girl next to us waylaid him to tell him how great he was, while I behaved like a good fan and left him alone. I can hardly blame her...it's exciting to meet Ken Casey.

-The Flogging Molly show was just as Nathan reported it. Nothing was good about that show except Flogging Molly, who were great as always.

I really liked your dessert, it was really amazing stuff! I should've just ignored all those travel regulations and snuck some of that stuff onboard the plane!

Hey, no problem, we loved having you. I should have sent you the dessert anyway, that was dumb of me. Now it's just sitting in my fridge ... uneaten ...forlorn ...
