Today the immigrants protested and it was awesome. I would have joined them, but as the noob at work, I felt awkward being the only one to protest. Then one of my co-workers expressed disappointment that we all weren't out there, and I felt like I should have pressed the issue. I think only one of us didn't approve of the protesting, maybe two.
The march passed right by my office and it was so loud. It took the whole crowd half an hour to pass by. It was thoroughly distracting, and a wonderful way to spend part of the day.
The Mexican restaurant down the street is closed for the day and I'm left wondering who's going to make me a burrito. Maybe I'll starve to death tonight. But I don't mind. I'm really glad they protested.

hey thanks for the support, I decided to go as well (i had the day off so I really didn't skip a day) but I got blisters to prove it.
Good for you. I would have expected no less. Did you guys shut it all down? I hoped Portland's protest would have more of an effect than it had.
everything on the route was pretty much shut down for about 8 hours, I know here the ports pretty much shut down from all the truckers protesting too!
