max is now five years old! long live max! ok, i know it's crazy to celebrate your dog's birthday, but he's my baby, and he gets presents. i would celebrate girl's birthday too, if i knew what it was. the same goes for my mom.
we're done painting the house for the most part. it was tough getting that hallway painted. there were stairs and vaulted ceilings involved. i had to call in reinforcements (nathan) to complete the job. but now we're ready to start moving furniture, as long as that hallway doesn't need a second coat tomorrow. even if it does, it shouldn't take him more than an hour to make it look done. it only needs to pass as completed. who looks at a staircase hallway either? you're supposed to look at the stairs, stupid, you'll fall if you're gazing at the walls! (by the way, the stairs need to have the carpet taken off, it's getting worn down. but that won't happen for a long while).
tonight is another night of insomnia that i should be spending in bed trying to sleep, but sometimes it helps to get up and think about something different for a few minutes. getting my thoughts down on my blog sometimes helps me sleep. so does getting google to answer my questions.
who else here has insomnia? what do you guys do to fall asleep? i know that better diet and more exercise, plus being employed are the main ways to sleep restfully, but let's be realistic here. for the next month or so, none of the above are going to happen. we'll talk in february. in the meantime, i have to learn how to fall asleep, so pass on any advice you might have.

so speaking of dogs, there was an incident at the inlaws. Chris' deadbeat shitty uncle has a big black dog chained to a tree out in the rain, and i, of course, had to say something about it. they aren't too happy with me now, but what was i supposed to do? so now i'm busy doing research - of course in pike county alabama there arent tether laws.
