nothing's new

i haven't been posting much because i've been tired and have had nothing to say. work feels good, but it's a boring job (which is what i wanted) so i never have anything interesting to say about what happened each day. i do data entry. and i take calls from people in truck parts departments all day. the people are mostly nice and some of them are really fun to talk to. they joke a lot.
i feel like i have no energy lately, though. i always want to sleep and i never really want to do anything. on thursday night, i slept on the couch from the time i got home until i could justify going to bed.
i called a real estate agency today to find out about the requirements for getting my oregon real estate license. it sounds easy, but not as easy as it was in virginia. there's no such thing as a salesperson here, only brokers. so i'll be a broker, which is something i wanted to accomplish when i first got into real estate. that kind of makes me happy.
nathan has to leave town tomorrow and go to new mexico for most of this week. he'll miss my birthday, but it's not a big deal. for one thing, i'm a big girl, and for another, my birthday falls on a wednesday this year and i'll be too tired to do anything special. maybe next weekend we'll do something fun.
portland continues to be awesome. i love living in a real city. i finally have some real ambition in life as a result of it. i want to get enough capital to start adding to the city's shape and feel. i want to leave my mark on the city i live in by changing the things i dislike. i want to make this good city even better by bringing in elements from other cities i've been to that i love, like boston, san francisco and athens, greece. i don't know if i'll ever achieve it, but i'm looking for ways to make it happen.
