i am now a temp for a truck sales company. now, trucking isn't really my passion, but getting a job is, and they're a good employer in this area that will give me what sounds like a good job for good pay on the train line. and right now, that's all i ask.
today, the uncapitalized max took a ride on the capitalized MAX. i shouldn't have taken him on there without a crate, but the circumstances were desperate. i had decided to walk him to the dogpark, which turned out to be way farther than google maps told me it would be. or it seemed to be because it was so hot out. when the dog needs a break, it's hot. i brought plenty of water, but it was still a horrible walk. by the time we got to the park he was too tired to play, which was good, because we were at the wrong park anyway. we walked all that way for nothing. by the time i found out we were at the wrong place, i couldn't stand to walk all the way back. so i went to the closest train station, stood where the conductor wouldn't see max out of a crate, and jumped on. everyone in the car was really nice, and didn't complain. max behaved perfectly and the train dropped us off right by our apartment.
i got a shower and some ice cream, and max is sprawled out next to me on the floor like a dead dog.
oh, nathan's in california today for training. he left a note saying he was going to have to drive back, somehow. so i don't know when he'll be back.
