hiv?

one of those goodbye hugs i got from all my kids contained a new strain of hiv. last night i got feverish, and this morning i woke up with serious pains in my sinuses, head, and back, plus a slight, but killer-feeling fever. i tried to go to my doctor, but surprise, surprise, they wouldn't see me, so i went back to the portsmouth er. i got all kinds of tests run, and in the end, was given new antibiotics and sudafed and guaifen. same thing they do every time. no refill on my albuterol though. in related news, i drank my first glass of 100% orange juice since i was 4 years old. it was suprisingly palatable. i guess the last few years of me drinking sunny delite got my taste buds acclimated to the taste of orange juice enough to let me drink it now. i think it will have to become part of my daily diet. i always felt bad that i couldn't drink it, because i know it's so good for you. oh, and kirsten will like this...my new antibiotics say that i can't have any dairy products until they run out. 10 whole days. i don't know what i'm going to eat. it especially sucks because i just made my first major feta cheese purchase. i bought a whole tub of it like my mom always did for cooking with. now i can't use it. or rather, i can make tiropites for everyone else to eat on superbowl sunday, while i watch enviously and take my pills. i guess i get what i deserve for being mean to kirsten about it, but she did talk about my mama.
