i had a pretty good day today. beth got a last minute dental appointment so i went up there to babysit jaiden and julian. it was surprisingly easy. julian slept the entire time, and jaiden was pretty low-maintenance. he caused all his trouble before his mom left and after she came home. before she left, he disappeared with a bottle of mustard and was found a few minutes later eating it off of a stair. i had a really hard time not laughing and encouraging his behavior. i had to leave the room while she cleaned him up, because i couldn't stop giggling. then after she came home, she started to make brownies. she let him stir up the batter and the second she turned around, he stuck his finger into the batter and ate some. she got mad and we both tried to explain to him that you don't eat raw eggs (good luck with a two year old). then she took him to the sink to clean him up again, and while his back was turned, i ate some batter. it's fun to be hypocritical. oh, and i love batter. i was taught to eat it before people worried about salmonella. and i figure there are worse ways to die. like from a constant cold i've had for 3 months.
then i came home and cleaned a bit before nathan got home. i was just about to start cooking for him when he got home and said we were going out for dinner. we went to rom thai, that place right across the street from sai gai. it was fun. they have a whole back section to the restaurant that i never even knew existed, but since they actually had business, there really wasn't any seating up front. then we went to macarthur center and got some lindt chocolates. and later i took max on the first walk he's been in for a very, very long time. i forgot to bring along plastic baggies, so tonight, i was the worst sort of dog walker. i don't feel bad, though. most people in my neighborhood don't clean up after their beasts, so i feel like a glorious example of a literate citizen considering all the poop i have scooped in my dog's lifetime. i love walking my dog. it's my favorite form of exercise. i get my ipod nad my lighted dog collar and i could walk forever. but i usually just take my usual 2 mile circuit of the neighborhood.
hey biff, how much money wouild you guess the owners of your pedicab company make?
