i love the weekend

it has been a great weekend so far. even thursday was great. well, okay, thursday sucked, but i sold tony and cheryl's house, which made thursday a good day. it was nathan's birthday, and i didn't get home till late, but then we went out to get thai food. i love green tea ice cream. it's tied for my number one ice cream flavor with mint chocolate chip.
friday after school i went to get sushi with zach, dex, zach's roommate derrick, and chance. it was great. i love being the only girl. i mean, i certainly have fun with my girlfriends, but it's fun to hang out with the guys too. then after sushi, dexter and i went over to play poker with nathan and the rednecks (i guess chief steve doesn't really count as one of the rednecks). i didn't play, but i still had fun. nathan won the tournament and brought home a big $200 bucks. it's the first tournament he's won. he almost always ends up coming in second.
today, i was planning on just chilling at the house and cleaning, but then chance called. i thought he was calling me back for missy, because i had just called to check on her to see if her mouth felt btter yet (she just got her wisdom teeth out) but he was at the dogpark. i went to join them (his friend chris was there too). it was an absolutely gorgeous day. it was so warm and sunny a day for december. the dogs had a lot of fun. max had a hump-fest. today he was a homosexual. he's so funny. he was just going to town on this bulldog-boxer mix, who was taking it like he didn't even notice. dumb dog. then i took my camera and max over to ghent and took some pictures. when i get them developed, if any turned out well, i'll post them.
afterwards, i went to go see spongebob squarepants with chance and chris. before you ask, i'll just state that yes, it was the best thing available for viewing in theatres. i got struck with this fit of lethargy halfway through and dozed off for a few minutes, but i snapped out of it eventually. then, chance and i went to hang out with missy (she's cat sitting and recuperating in va. beach) while i graded papers. my students are idiots. i'm going to have to give them a retest on monday. i can't believe they did so badly. i might have to give them a cheat sheet for the test. i hope i don't reduce my standards that far, but i gave them this easy unit at this time to pull up their grades for progress reports, not drag them down. missy seems to be doing well though. she's in a lot less pain then i was at this time when i got my wisdom teeth out last year. she was talking, and managed to eat, so she's probably not going to have as hard a time as i did. she's discovered zombie breath though. i laugh about it, because i hated that so bad when i had my surgery. you just don't expect that to be a problem with recovery. and then, it happens. no matter how much you brush and rinse, that stink of healing mouth won't go away. haha. remember when you laughed at me when i had conjunctivitis? well HAHA, your wisdom teeth just got yanked. sucka.
