news bites

-yesterday i was in the library and i saw their new school house rock cd's so i said something about it, and the librarian said "yeah, we have it, but no one can check them out yet, they're not processed yet" in a joking kind of way, so i replied even sassier "well, i don't need your dirty cd's because i bought the box set 4 years ago when i worked at the record store". she looked at me and said that now she had figured me out. she knew by looking at me, that i must have something to do with music. so i gave her a bemused expression and told her that she was the first person ever to think that by my looks i must dig music. so she expounded on it and searched around for the right words for a while and came up with me reminding her of a cross between a disc jockey and a groupie. i'm not sure if she knew what a groupie is, so i chose not to be offended. in fact, now i like her more than i did before.
-two of my problem boys are trying to get expelled, so i wrote them both up yesterday, knowing that they only have this last chance. they were happy about it and so was i, so maybe friday they won't be in school for a few days.
-today there is no school. does that mean i get a day off? no, i have to go to hampton for a teacher's conference. it sucks to be me. oh well, we might go get sushi after dinner.
-kelly's new place has opened. it's really good. good like sai gai, but the atmosphere isn't as good. so i have to make the trade off when i go get sushi now. atmosphere or kelly? and i choose based on my mood. so far it's been kelly every time.
