still on verge of heart attack

wednesday went by without any trouble or stress, so i didn't go to the doctor after school, but today, i was stressed again. i think i just need to find a way to deal with it better. the stress really isn't too bad, but i take it really badly.
i got a student transferred into my homeroom today from another class. they're trying to split up the trouble-makers in this one class. hopefully it'll work out well. the one i got is a right little be-atch though. i don't know if i would have preferred one of the boys or not. the boys fight, but they get suspended for that eventually. the girls are really mouthy and i've got a classroom with 3-5 alpha bitches right now that are battling it out for top female (even over me). i don't really need more trouble-makers.
i need a new seating arrangement.
on the positive side, i went over some of my students' rough drafts on their first essay and some of them are surprisingly good. i mean, most of it is schlock, but i had a student use a high school level word in her essay. i asked her where she heard it, and she told me she's been reading her dictionary for fun (as i had instructed them to do). i can't remember the word right now. i'll update when i remember. i also had a student turn in an extra-credit story that was really impressive. i'll have to find out if she plagiarized it in any way. i had a student plagiarize something already. he handed it to me yesterday, and before i opened it, i asked if it was extra-credit writing, and he said yes. i read it today and it was obviously not his own work, so i looked it up and found the real author in about a minute. i didn't bust him on it though, i just asked him if he liked that story. he said he did, with a nice smile. i think he just might be a little dim.

i got my first paycheck today, and i think i got hosed. it just doesn't add up to what it should. since it's no secret what teachers make, i'll lay it out for you here. yearly salary in p-town is $33,401. i chose to have mine disbursed over 10 months, not 12. my paycheck today came with a base pay/net pay of about $2200 (after taxes down to $1800) which is still pretty healthy, but there's an obvious problem here. $2200 times 10 months equals yearly pay of $22,000. a full $11,000 less than i should make. or more than a grand per month; net.
i'm calling up human resources tomorrow. it makes my heart hurt to think about it. so much stress.
i think i'll buy an ipod this weekend. i've been wanting one for a good long time now, and it's fun to waste your first paycheck. the rest will go to pay off that car.
i finished up my thursday night class tonight. we had graduation and now, i don't have to work at petsmart during the week. just all weekend.
i haven't had a day off in 3 weeks and i'm not going to get one for about 4 more, which is probably a big part of my problem.

i've edited this post for errors three times now, and every time i re-read it, i find new ones. please overlook all misplaced punctuation, and anything else you might find, as i am very stressed and tired and haven't had a day off in a long time.
