my family rocks

you know how most kids with older siblings always manage to have the answers to all the homework and tests because their older siblings saved everything and passed it all down? well, i never had that luxury because my siblings were too much older than me and didn't go to the same schools.
however, i just got a call from my sister zoe who has been a teacher for 9 years and is going to send me all my lesson plans for this year.
i don't know if i gave you enough time for that to sink in. i'll repeat it.
!!!she's giving me my lesson plans for the whole year!!!
this roughly translates into "superhappyfun family fun time plus happy lazy no work for me"
now all i have to worry about is herding the ghetto children around with minimal incident all year...which is no minor accomplishment.
my bonus ghetto child names for today are: 1) taquela (tah-KWAY-lah, female), 2) jimesha, 3) ahkey (a-KEY, male), 4) ajee (a JEE, female), and 5) rahshamel (not sure of pronunciation yet).
more on the way as i learn their names.
i took one prisoner today in the form of a note home.
i put a kid's name on the board for talking and he muttered "i don't care" really snottily, so i put a check by it, and he muttered some more so i put another check. in my classroom, i'll only speak to you three times before i sent a note home, and that all counted as three, so he got a note. then i told him if i had to talk to him again, i'd send him to the principal. i didn't have to send him to the principal. he simmered down after i wrote his note. the only thing i'm worried about is that his mom is on his side, because he's already gotten one note from me. every time he gets a note, i make him read it aloud to me before i seal it so that he knows ahead of time what his mom is going to see. i figure that's extra humiliation and anxiety.

Don't be to quick to judge the kids. They are only products of their surroundings.

learn to write. it's a common illiteracy to use the wrong "to". you should have used "too". everyone messes things up. that's why i proofread before posting. still, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt. you probably know, you just were in a hurry. don't let it happen again.
hahaha. i'm a bastard.

man what a bitch! if i'd been the one who'd used the wrong 'to' i would have cried. by the way, i know i wrote 'diggin' instead of 'digging' but i did it on purpose - it was vernacular - i was tryin ta prove that i'm hip to da lingo.

...and that's why i love you!

hehe, i learned my lesson about correcting kirsten a long time ago. never do it because i'm wrong. unless it's spelling, and then i rule your dyslexic ass. of course, i'm sure you don't really have a problem with that anymore. you were always too smart for your own good.

my ass isn't dyslexic, it's the rest of me - and no, the spelling has not improved, it's gotten more confused with different rules for england and new zealand. right now i'm on nz spellings (or my dyslexic approximation thereof), but i guess i'm gonna have to americanise - i mean americanize - next month...
